Sunday roasts are an absolute staple across the whole of the UK. Whenever I’m travelling over a weekend I always seek to find the best places for a roast. Therefore, I’ve put this blog together to showcase the best places for a Sunday roast in Bristol!
The Florist
Location: Park Street
Price: Two courses, £18.50; 3 courses, £22.50
The Florist do an incredible roast! You’re able to select from two or three courses at a great cost. I’d recommend adding the side of cauliflower cheese because a roast isn’t complete without it! There is also the option to add bottomless drinks too for £15 per person.

The Vittoria
Location: Clifton
Price: From £13
Based in the stunning Clifton, The Vittoria is one of my favourite places for a roast. The roast potatoes were delicious, which is key to a roast for me.
There is the option to choose from beef, pork belly, beef & pork belly or stuffed squash. Each roast will come with all the trimmings including; carrots, greens, cauliflower cheese, roasties, parsnips and a Yorkshire pudding. Bonus, it comes with a gravy boat so you can have as much gravy as you like!
There’s also the option to add bottomless Bloody Mary’s for £5 too.

Winter Stream Farm
Location: Hambrook, Winterbourne
Price: £5.99 – £11.79
Not only for Sunday’s, Winter Stream Farm offer an all week carvery. There is the option to opt for a small, standard or large, the cost will differ depending on the option you choose and the day you visit.

The Annexe Inn
Location: Bishopston
Price: From £9.95
Based in Bishopston’s, The Annexe Inn is a lovely little pub. Whether you fancy beef, lemon and sage stuffed pork or a nut roast, their roasts are rated as one of the best in Bristol.
All roasts are served with carrots, caramelised shallots, cabbage, squash puree, swede mash, a Yorkshire pudding and red wine gravy. I’d also recommend getting a side of cauliflower cheese too!
The Cowshed
Location: Whiteladies Road
Price: One course, £16.95; Two courses, £22.95; Three courses, £28.95
One of my favourite places for a roast in Bristol, The Cowshed is based in Clifton. The roasts come on a sharing platter for the whole table, you’ll all receive a Yorkshire pudding (even if you’re not having beef!), plenty of crispy roast potatoes, mixed greens, red cabbage and cheesy broccoli.
The starters and desserts are also really good, so I’d recommend either opting for the two or three-course option, depending on how much room you have!

The Lock Up
Location: St. George
Price: From £13.50
Based in St. George, The Lock Up is renowned for their incredible roasts. If you head over and check them out on Trip Advisor, there is always the mention of them being the best for roasts in Bristol.
Whether you fancy beef, pork, lamb or a veggie option, you won’t be disappointed. There’s free parking and they’ve also got a terrace too!

The Beehive
Location: Horfield
Price: From £12
Situated on Wellington Hill, The Beehive is a classic pub. However, they’re also rated highly for their Sunday roasts, with the sample menu featuring all of the classic roast meat options. They also offer small portions (plus kids portions too!) in case you can’t quite manage a standard portion!

The River Grille
Location: Prince Street
Cost: Two courses, £20; Three courses, £23.50
With incredible views over the Harbourside with floor to ceiling windows, The River Grille is the perfect place to stop in the city centre for a Sunday roast. Served from 12:30 – 14:30, while you’re enjoying your roast you’ll have live piano played, creating the perfect atmosphere.

The Lock Keeper
Location: Keynsham
Cost: From £12.50
The Lock Keeper is a Young’s pub, based near the River Avon. With a focus on seasonal food and drink, they do a cracking Sunday roast. Bonus, it has a lovely beer garden too!
